Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Welcome to Finding Peace Psychiatry! I know there are many options for psychiatry and I appreciate you considering me. I look forward to working with you and would like to tell you a little bit about myself.
I am a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner and family nurse practitioner. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from East Stroudsburg University and a Master of Science degree in Psychology from Shippensburg University. After working in the mental health field in various capacities, including outpatient therapy, program director of community-based programs, and inpatient hospital services, I decided to further my education. I graduated from Edinboro University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and then went on to receive my Master of Science in Nursing-Family Nurse Practitioner. I also completed a Post-Masters' Certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing. I am board certified as both a family and psychiatric nurse practitioner. My experience includes both outpatient and inpatient psychiatric settings, psychiatric evaluation, and medication management.
In my spare time, I enjoy animal rescue, with a focus on senior dog rescue. I currently have 5 rescue dogs at home and consider my home a "hospice" for dogs. I enjoy traveling especially anywhere warm and sunny!
